8 May 2007 — Rochester (NY): Eastman Kodak Company has partnered with European electronic retailer DSG International (DSGI) to exclusively supply the new Kodak All-In-One inkjet printers in the UK through DSGi’s PC World, Currys and Currys.digital outlets.
Peter Duncombe, DSGI’s buying director, said: "We dedicate considerable resources to identifying original new products for our outlets and we believe the KODAK EASYSHARE All-in-One Printers not only offer consumers the freedom to print documents and photos frequently, easily and affordably, but they also have a pioneering quality which will appeal to our customers."
The decision to partner with DSGI follows Kodak’s entry into the consumer inkjet market with printers that are said to save consumers up to 50 percent on their printing costs compared to other consumer inkjet printers.
Julian Baust, chairman and managing director of Kodak Limited, said: "Our commitment to changing the rules in the inkjet industry in favour of the consumer is reflected in our decision to partner with DSGI, a quality consumer electronics giant dedicated to bringing its customers the very best in consumer-oriented innovation, first."
PC World, Currys Superstores and Currys.digital stores will stock the KODAK EASYSHARE 5300 and 5500 All-in-One Printers at $199.99 and $299.99 respectively from June.
