8 November 2004 – Rochester (NY): Eastman Kodak has named Dr Michael Hawley, director of special projects at Massachusetts Institute of Technology, to the company’s board of directors.
Dr Hawley is also the founder of Friendly Planet, a non-profit organisation that fights for better opportunities for children in developing parts of the world.
Kodak’s chairman and CEO Dan Carp said: "Mike brings to the Kodak board a new generation of thinking and an intimate knowledge of the digital world so vital to Kodak’s growth. We look forward to having one of the leading minds of the digital age contribute to our discussions".
