Kids even more in need – SHOPA foundation

16 March 2006 – Cincinnati (OH): Director of the SHOPA Kids In Need Foundation, Cathy Spencer, has announced her vision for the charity’s year ahead.

The foundation, which provides school supplies to poor students, has been operating for just over a decade.

"The SHOPA Kids In Need Foundation begins its eleventh year with a firm commitment to provide school supplies to students who need them and to encourage and affirm innovative teachers who work with our nation’s young people," said Spencer. "Thirteen million children in the US live below the poverty level. This year, as in each year that has passed, we will increase the number of children and teachers in need who are served by the National Network of Resource Centres and Teacher Grants program supported by the Foundation."
