Karibian steps down as Euroffice CEO

25 September 2007 — (UK): Euroffice.co.uk has appointed Simon Drakeford as CEO, while the company’s founder and former CEO, George Karibian, becomes executive chairman.

Karibian said: "I am delighted to welcome Simon to the board. During the last seven years Euroffice has developed into the UK’s dominant online office supplies company. Simon’s appointment will now allow us to consolidate on that growth as we look to expand into new markets."

Drakeford joins Euroffice.co.uk from T-Mobile UK, where he was responsible for leading, developing and managing the company’s online business. Prior to that, he was at Orange where he was responsible for the launch, management and strategic development of the Orange shop online.

Drakeford said: "Euroffice is a fast-growing, market driven company. There are close parallels between the challenges and opportunities it now faces and those previously experienced in the mobile sector. I look forward to complementing George’s skill-set and vision so that Euroffice’s market leading position can be fully leveraged."

Earlier this year, Euroffice.co.uk reported 49 percent sales growth year on year, with total sales exceeding £18 million ($36 million) for the year ended 31 March 2007.
