7 December 2004 – Brussels (BEL): Ingram Micro Europe (IM) has announced that its SVP for central Europe Michael Kaack will be leaving the company at the end of this month.
Kaack, formerly CEO of Macroton which was acquired by IM in 1998, was praised for the number of innovative measures he implemented at IM to improve service levels, including the consolidation of all former Macroton corporations.
Hans Koppen, president of IM Europe, said: "Michael Kaack has been instrumental in building a team and infrastructure that has taken IM to the number one position in the German IT distribution channel.
"We are confident that the region he has been managing will continue to prosper under the leadership that is in place without any interruptions in business," he added.
