11 April 2006– Stamford (CT): International Paper has signed a $137 million agreement with The Lyme Timber Co for the sale of about 275,000 acres of land in New York’s Adirondack Park to benefit the Lyme Forest Fund.
The sale is part of IP’s previously announced plan to sell 5.7 million of its 6.3 million acres of US forestland for the approximate price of $6.6 billion.
