25 April 2006 – East Douglas (MA): Carpet manufacturer Interface has announced the planned closure of its Massachusetts manufacturing facility to reduce its operating costs.
The company will integrate the operations from the closing facility into its factory in Elkin, North Carolina. The firm also announced that it has sold its European fabrics division, Camborne Holdings, for about $28 million in cash. Proceeds from the sale will be used to pay debt or reinvest in the company’s other business.
