Interactive Products, a subsidiary of ECI2, has announced that its New Progress software is finally ready for roll out – at a new price.
At a conference in October marking the 20th anniversary of Progress, Interactive’s managing director Ron Wotherspoon disclosed that the New Progress software, which is fully migrated to the Windows environment, will be available to users from next month.
Wotherspoon said: "It offers users a safe and guarded route into the Windows environment, without the trauma and costs of changing systems."
But the new package will mean higher prices for all users, although the exact amount depends on users’ individual options.
Wotherspoon said he was confident that users would see the value in investing in New Progress and described it as a "watershed" for the company, which has been through a tough period in recent years as it invested all its capital into the new software’s development.
"Where we have failed, we have failed because we have never lost sight of our commitment to the existing systems and our users," he said.
