5 April 2006 – Stansted (UK): The UK and Irish dealer community gathered yesterday to hear some of the most prominent figures in the UK industry speak at the Interactive Products User Conference 2006.
The event, Interactive’s biggest ever, was held at the Radisson SAS Hotel at Stansted Airport for the first time. It focused on the theme of partnerships – how dealers and wholesalers can improve their businesses by forging stronger alliances with each other.
Delegates listened to motivating speeches from: Rob Vale, CEO of Spicers (in his first industry appearance); Alan Barclay, CEO of Kingfield Heath; David Carroll, chairman of Advantia; Kevin Downie, channels director of ISA; Tom Kapp, EVP of ECI2; Jeff Whiteway, CEO of OyezStraker; and Serena Musgrove, co-principal PS Office. The conference was hosted by Interactive’s managing director, Ron Wotherspoon.
During the afternoon session, awards were presented to Progress users who had best managed the Interactive Products software to boost their business. The E-commerce Prolink Web Award was presented to Dialstat Office Supplies; and the Progress Award was given to Benham Office Supplies.
