10 March 2006 – Oakdale (MN): Imation has said that the antitrust waiting period related to its purchase of Memorex International has expired.
As a result, no further antitrust regulatory review of the deal will be needed in the US and the company expects the transaction to close during Q2.
In January, Imation announced that it would buy Memorex for $330 million in cash to strengthen its CD and DVD business.
