Ingram Micro (IM) Europe has launched a new pan-European marketing campaign that aims to help resellers benefit from growth opportunities in the booming digital imaging market.

The campaign, which runs for 2004’s entire Q4 across IM’s 14 European subsidiaries, is supported by leading vendors in the digital imaging space such as BenQ, Canon, Samsung, Hewlett-Packard, InFocus, Kingston, Microsoft, Philips and Sony.

Director of vendor management at IM Europe, Anita Lussenburg, said: "With the busy consumer- driven Q4 and the Christmas season right ahead of us, the digital imaging campaign may prove very valuable for our resellers, and it will help them to capitalise on these exciting growth opportunities."

The digital imaging market has been extremely upbeat in 2004, according to market research analysts DTC.

Unit growth for 25-inch LCD TVs and plasma displays, for example, is expected to reach 223 per cent in the EMEA region between 2003 and 2004.

Similarly, unit growth in projectors is expected to rise by 62 per cent year-on-year, and unit growth in LCD monitors by 47.1 per cent.
