Ikon set for European invasion

Ikon has released grand plans to launch in ten new European cities by 2007 and up to 20 over the next seven years.

During this period, revenue from the company’s European operations is expected to double from $500 million currently to $1 billion.

Cathy Lewis, SVP of marketing and strategy, told OPI: "We aim to offer the same service in Europe as North America. And it’s looking positive. Revenue growth in some of our European cities has already risen by 10 per cent since the start of the year.

"Once we are self-sustaining and reaching profitability in western Europe, we will then assess whether to move into eastern Europe or Asia Pacific," she added.

New cities planned for 2007 include Berlin, Brussels, Lille, Zurich, Milan, Turin, Geneva, Barcelona, Madrid and Lisbon.
