HP separates PC and printer units

14 June 2005 – Palo Alto (CA): Hewlett-Packard (HP) CEO, Mark Hurd, has announced the separation of the company’s PC and printer units.

The separation follows the two units being combined five months earlier and reverses a decision made by former CEO, Carly Fiorina.

R Todd Bradley is to head the PC unit and Vyomesh Joshi is to resume his role as head of the printer unit.
