1 June 2006 – San Francisco (CA): HP has rolled out more than 100 new imaging and printing products for the home and home office.

The innovative range, launched this week, includes six all-in-one printers and printer cartridges for its older printers containing HP Vivera ink, which the company says will produce text and photos that last up to 50 years longer than original HP inks.

With a bold promise to "transform this industry completely," Vyomesh Joshi, head of HP’s printer unit, told newswire organisations that the firm would be moving into fresh markets with their line-up of new product lines, including a faster photo printers and new digital cameras.

The announcement is seen as a clear challenge to rivals Dell and Lexmark and coincides with the company’s shipment of its 100 millionth HP LaserJet printer.
