21 November 2005 – Palo Alto (CA): Hewlett-Packard (HP) has announced it has recycled approximately 140 million pounds of hardware and HP print cartridges worldwide in its last fiscal year, up 17 per cent on the previous year.
The company also collected more than 2.5 million units to be refurbished for global resale or donation in the US.
HP’s recycling programme operates globally in more than 36 countries, regions and territories and seeks to reduce the environmental impact of electronic waste.
