Herman Miller design centre wins gold



30 October 2006 — New York (NY): Herman Miller has achieved Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Gold certification from the US Green Building Council (USGBC).


The National Design Center in New York City has been awarded under USGBC’s Commercial Interiors category for its water conservation and energy efficiency.


The centre has reduced its water consumption by 37 percent and all of its electricity is generated by renewable sources.
