Henkel and Chartered-brands, an Edinburgh-based brand-value management company, have made a joint venture acquisition of UK liquid cleaner manufacturer Chemtek.
Chemtek, which is based in Coventry, had a turnover of £17.5 million ($32.9 million) in the last financial year, and has a workforce of 130.
In the deal, Charteredbrands will acquire 30 per cent of Chemtek’s business, with the balance being purchased simultaneously by Henkel.
Gervase Cottam, managing director of Charteredbrands, said: "This is a very significant purchase for both Henkel and Charteredbrands."
