20 March 2006 – Pune (IND): Haworth is to be the first global manufacturer of office furniture to invest in its own manufacturing plant in India.
The factory in Pune will produce workspace solutions for customers throughout India and support Haworth’s operations in the Middle East. Over the past year, Haworth has invested in India with the Pune manufacturing facility and showrooms in Mumbai, Bangalore and New Delhi. The new 65,000 sq ft facility, which began initial operations in December 2005, will employ about 100 workers when fully operational.
