Guernsey joins NFIB board


27 February 2007 — Washington (DC): David Guernsey and Maria Coakley David have joined the National Federation of Independent Business’s (NFIB) board of directors.

As board members, Guernsey and Coakley David will be responsible for advancing the lobby organisation’s core values, aggressively pursuing policy objectives and directing NFIB’s business and financial operations.


Guernsey, president and CEO of Guernsey Office Products, also serves as a director and vice chairman of Virginia Commerce Bank and as a director of Comstock Homebuilding Companies.


Coakley David, is the CFO of CJ Coakley, a commercial interior subcontractor working in the Washington, Virginia and Maryland areas. She is also vice president of the Cornelius J Coakley Family Foundation, manages Coakley Management and serves on the board of trustees of Marymount University.


NFIB president and CEO Todd Stottlemyer said: "Both Maria and David have proven to be successful entrepreneurs, leaders within their communities and strong advocates for small-business values, which makes them a perfect fit for the NFIB board of directors."
