Georgia-Pacific chairman to step down

16 June 2006 — Atlanta (GA): Georgia-Pacific chairman AD "Pete" Correll has announced he will retire at the end of the month but will continue to serve the company as an advisor to the board of directors.

 

Correll joined the company in 1988 as SVP of pulp and printing paper. In 1993, he became the company’s chairman and chief executive officer and president. He retired as CEO in December 2005.

 

Current George-Pacific and CEO Joseph Moeller will take on the additional role of chairman.
