GBC Europe realigns to tackle new markets


GBC Europe has announced details of a "resources realignment" that it hopes will position it for growth in emerging markets such as eastern Europe.

Explaining the initiative, GBC Europe president Thomas Stenebring said: "GBC was very quick to enter the emerging eastern European markets and we have built up an extensive partner network and excellent brand awareness.

"Our strategy will be to closely align certain markets and geographies with a number of our eight European affiliates that will give much greater customer and market focus.

"The net effect will be, for example, that we will now have as many as five account managers, three marketing people and three warehouses supporting our international partners – in the past it was only one."
