FOSPA to take global stance on counterfeiters

The Federation of Office and School Products Associations (FOSPA) took a global stance against counterfeiting at a recent meeting in Istanbul.

Delegates from the UK, Brazil, Mexico, Poland, Venezuela and the US, who met during the recent Stationery and Office 2005 Exhibition, agreed to exchange information on all represented markets in order to identify the source of the illegal trade to help stamp out the problem.

They also discussed the development of a common platform for various industry data standards, to meet the increasing needs for global data synchronisation.

Commenting on the meetings, BOSS Federation CEO Keith Davies said: "They were extensive and businesslike. We identified a lot of common ground and I feel confident that, as a result, BOSS Federation will add value to those of our members with an international dimension to their activity."
