26 April 2005 – Istanbul (TUR): The Federation of Office and School Products Associations (FOSPA) agreed to take a global stance against counterfeiting at a recent meeting in Istanbul.
Delegates from the UK, Brazil, Mexico, Poland, Venezuela and the US, who met during the recent Stationery and Office 2005 Exhibition in Istanbul, agreed to exchange information on all represented markets in order to identify the source of the illegal trade to help stamp out the problem.
They also discussed the development of a common platform for various industry data standards to meet the increasing needs for global data synchronisation.
Commenting on the meetings, BOSS CEO Keith Davies said: "They were extensive and businesslike. We identified a lot of common ground and I feel confident that, as a result, BOSS will add value to those of our members with an international dimension to their activity."
