22 July 2005 – Lincolnshire (IL): Fortune Brands has posted its Q2 financial results.
Net income rose to $200.3 million or EPS of $1.33 compared to $167.8 million or EPS of $1.11 a year earlier. Sales were up 10 per cent to $2.07 billion from $1.89 billion in the previous year.
The company’s office products unit, set to be spun-off this summer, reported a 572.5 per cent rise in operating income to $26.9 million, from $4 million in the year before. The unit posted sales of $287.2 million compared to $268.8 a year earlier.
