7 April 2006– Taipei (TWN): Former Hewlett-Packard (HP) chief Carly Fiorina has agreed to become an independent member of the board at Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Co (TSMC), subject to shareholder approval.
TSMC is the world’s largest contract chip maker by revenue.
Fiorina is also on the boards of CyberTrust, Revolution Healthcare Group and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, said TSMC.
