Finnish mills prepare for 4 wk lockout

18 May 2005 – Helsinki (FIN): Finnish forest industries employers will start a four-week lockout today to reduce the negative effects caused by the ongoing overtime ban declared by the Finnish Paper Workers’ Union.

According to reports by the Associated Press , UPM-Kymmene has said it will lose €5 million ($6.3 million) a day and Stora Enso declared its daily losses would amount to €3 million.
