Fellowes establishes Russia JV

9 October 2007 — Moscow (RUS): Fellowes has established a JV based in Moscow, Russia.

Fellowes Russia, under the leadership of Alexander Kolesnik, will focus on increasing the distribution and growth of the Fellowes range of business machines and office products.

Andrea Davis, president of Fellowes Europe, said: "Over the past 13 years, Pragmatic has successfully built a first-class business in the Russian marketplace. In 2003, Fellowes appointed Logica, the new company created by Pragmatic, as our master distributor for Russia. During this time, under Alexander’s leadership, Fellowes has rapidly become the leading brand in business machines so we are delighted to have formalised Fellowes Russia and excited to be fully represented in such a dynamic market."

She added: "This new joint venture will enable us to continue growing and developing the Russian market by offering our customers the full Fellowes package tailored to meet the needs of the local market, from excellence in marketing and product innovation through to supply and distribution."

Kolesnik said: "I am delighted to be part of such a global organisation and we are confident that Fellowes Russia will have a significant impact in the market. We will be focusing on leveraging Fellowes expertise and consumer insight to work with our customers in creating and driving demand."

This is the second JV announcement of the year for Fellowes, following the opening of Fellowes China in January – believed to be the world’s largest shredder manufacturing facility.
