FedEx has announced plans to increase the number of Kinko’s outlets in Asia, following company reports of explosive growth in China.
FedEx, which bought Kinko’s for $2.4 billion in February, wants to incorporate the business services company into its global courier network in order to bring in more customers.
"China is the fastest growing and most important market in our network," said FedEx’s Asia Pacific president David Cunningham.
But he added that the company was keeping a close watch on proposed Chinese legislation, which industry insiders say may impose a tax on foreign courier firms to help fund a rural postal service.
