Strong European sales have helped Tech Data to post a 79 per cent rise in Q2 profit.
The firm reported net income of $30.7 million, or EPS of $0.52, compared to income of $17.2 million, or EPS of $0.30, a year earlier. Net sales rose 9.6 per cent to reach $4.6 billion.
CEO Steve Raymund said: "Our worldwide team did a great job in Q2, achieving the high end of our revenue and net income plan for the period."
Net sales in Europe were $2.5 billion, while sales in the Americas totaled $2.1 billion.
