25 June 2007 — Uxbridge (UK): Esselte has announced that it received strong support for its 2006 promotions.
According to the manufacturer, its promotions "were very well publicised in dealer and dealer group mailers, which, together with their marketing support programmes, attracted a large number of entries".
Juliet Tipton, marketing manager at Esselte, said: "Esselte has built up a reputation for partnering dealers, dealer groups and wholesalers with innovative promotions. This year is no exception. Our Leitz Win a Trip to Cuba promotion, which will finish shortly, has been very well supported and we are already working on an exciting Leitz promotion for 2008."
Phil Melville, marketing manager for a Bracknall-based computer company, won £3000 worth of DIY vouchers in Esselte’s Changing Lives promotion, which was run in conjunction with The Variety Club, to raise funds for a new paediatric surgical unit at Kings College Hospital in London.
