22 November 2004 – Stamford (CT): Esselte has been added to Forbes Magazine’s list of America’s largest private companies.
The list, which includes 305 private companies in the US that have achieved sales over $1 billion, ranked Esselte, with sales of approximately $1.2 billion, at position 238.
Magnus Nicolin, president/CEO of Esselte said: "With a strong pipeline of innovative products set to debut in 2005, we are confident that we will be cementing our position as the leader in the office supplies industry."
Only one other company from the OP sector made the list. This was Michigan-based cubicle manufacturer Haworth, which ranked 225 on the list with revenues of $1.23 billion.
