Dixons gets aggressive in France

27 April 2005 – London (UK): Dixons has revealed plans to expand its French PC City operations from seven to 100 within three years, in attempt to offset a weak UK market through European growth.

The electronics retailer also said it would open two new stores in Poland and one in Portugal.

Dixons now operates over 1,400 outlets in 13 countries, with international operations now accounting for over a quarter of the group’s total turnover.
