A survey of Institute of Directors (IoD) members has revealed the concerns of UK businesses over working from home.
The survey – commissioned by Avaya, a provider of business communications services systems – studied the changing work environments of nearly 800 directors and showed that 98 per cent of IoD members work from home on a regular basis.
The survey also uncovered lingering concerns of UK businesses over the productivity of their workers when not physically in the office, with 62 per cent of executives identifying corporate culture as the biggest barrier to flexible working. This is despite 67 per cent of respondents citing increased productivity as their main reason for working from home.
