23 November 2004 – Delray Beach (FL): In the latest enhancement to its ink and toner recycling programme, Office Depot is offering customers a free ream of recycled paper or money off their next purchase when they return ink and toner cartridges to stores in the US.
Tyler Elm, director of environmental affairs at Depot said: "The programme is part of Depot’s ongoing commitment to environmental stewardship, and just one of our strategic initiatives designed to both increase the use of environmentally preferable products and to educate customers as to the benefits of recycling."
Since Depot launched its recycling programme in January 2002, more than 12 million ink and toner cartridges have been returned from retail customers, business customers and company employees worldwide.
