Depot to help SEC inquiry


27 July 2007 — Delray Beach (FL): Office Depot has received an informal inquiry letter from the Securities and Exchange Commission in relation to the company’s relations with financial analysts.

In its Q2 report, Depot said that it will fully cooperate with the SEC. In a statement the SEC said that it does not comment on particular cases.


Yesterday Depot reported that Q2 net earnings for the quarter, on a GAAP basis, were $109 million, down from $118 million in 2006.
