14 March 2005 – Memphis (TN): Auto parts retailer AutoZone said this morning that its CEO Steve Odland has resigned to take up the position of chairman/CEO of Office Depot.
The appointment ends a five-month search for Depot, following the departure of Bruce Nelson last October. The Delray Beach, Florida-based power player is expected to confirm the appointment later today.
