Citing one-time charges and the adoption of stock option expensing accounting rules, Office Depot reported a Q3 loss of $47.9 million, or $0.15 a share, down from a profit of $89.3 million, or $0.28 a share, recorded the previous year.
Revenue was up 5 per cent to $3.49 billion, while North American comp sales rose by 4 per cent.
