1 December 2004 – Delray Beach (FL): Office Depot has released a report detailing the company’s environmental accomplishments, following its publication of the Environmental Paper Procurement Policy and Vision on Earth Day in April 2003.
The environmental report, which Depot claims to be the first of its kind in the OP industry, looks into the power player environmental policies over the last year and their resulting achievements.
Chairman and CEO Neil Austrian said: "Our environmental strategy is value-based and market-driven. The independent audit of our environmental performance by PricewaterhouseCoopers supports this strategy by contributing to our stakeholders’ confidence in Office Depot and our commitment to environmental stewardship."
