Dell to double Indian workforce


21 March 2006 – Round Rock (TX): Computer maker Dell has announced plans to double its workforce in India to 20,000 over the next three years.

The founder of the world’s largest PC maker, Michael Dell, said the company plans to expand its number of call centre staff and other business support roles. Dell also announced plans to build a new computer factory in India and a fourth customer contact centre in Gurgagon.
