Dell chooses Gome to sell its products in China

26 September 2007 — Beijing (CHN): Dell has partnered with Chinese consumer electronics retailer Gome to distribute its products across the country.

Dell will begin rolling out its systems across nearly 50 of Gome’s major metropolitan stores early next month ahead of its plans to "significantly expand its presence" by early next year.


Dell employees will be available in Gome stores to help customers with purchases and their overall experience.


Michael Tatelman, VP of marketing and sales for Dell’s global consumer business, said: "Chinese consumers are increasingly sophisticated in how they buy and use technology, so it is only natural that a global brand like Dell partner with Gome to provide a preferred shopping experience. For Dell, this is a great opportunity to extend connections with Chinese customers we may not have reached in the past. We look forward to a long and mutually rewarding relationship with Gome."


Mu Guixian, VP of Gome, said: "Starting in October, consumers can buy Dell products at Gome stores that will help satisfy customers’ diversified needs.
