Danka reports 87 per cent profit rise

7 February 2006 – St Petersburg (FL): Danka Business Systems has posted a Q3 profit rise of 87 per cent.
 
The company’s net income was $8.3 million, or EPS of $0.05, up from $4.5 million, or a loss of $0.01 per share, a year earlier.
 
Sales fell 11 per cent to $265.5 million from $296.6 million.
 
The company’s profits for the quarter were boosted by the resolution of tax contingencies totalling $11.7 million.
