Cooper resigns Weyerhaeuser post

6 October 2006 — Federal Way (WA): Marvin Cooper has resigned from Weyerhaeuser’s management team to concentrate on his new role as chief operating officer of the company’s fine paper products division.

Cooper had been serving the company as SVP for the cellulose fibre and white paper, containerboard manufacturing and engineering unit.

Over the summer Weyerhaeuser announced plans to merge with Dotmar in a deal worth $3.3 billion.

A company spokesman said Cooper’s move will aid the restructuring of the fine paper business as a separate unit.
