4 January 2005 – Las Vegas (NV): The Consumer Electronics Show is to take place this week in Las Vegas, and is expected the biggest ever – covering the equivalent of three football fields.
The trade show, which will run from 6 – 9 January, is famed for its big announcements. Last year’s show saw HP reveal its deal with Apple to sell HP iPods.
As well as tech giants such as Microsoft, Dell, Canon and Kodak, this year’s exhibitor list features a number of OP-specific manufacturers, including Avery Dennison, Fellowes, HP and Targus.
Exhibitor Brother has already announced the launch of its new personal laser printer range, featuring the HL-2040 and the HL-2070N, which are said to have faster print speeds than their predecessors, as well as a space-saving design that is 40% smaller.
