2 March 2005 – Los Angeles (CA): The City of Hope (CoH) has celebrating the grand opening of its Cancer Center’s new Helford Clinical Research Hospital at its campus in California.
The hospital is said to be one of the newest and most advanced hospitals in the state, and will provide 144 private patient rooms.
Irwin Helford, ex-chairman of Viking Office Products and long-time CoH supporter, said: "This hospital will help future generations of patients overcome their battles with cancer. We are pleased to continue our relationship with City of Hope and support its lifesaving work."
