The City of Hope has announced that the 2006 Spirit of Life award will be presented to Ron Sargent, chairman and CEO of Staples.
The award is being presented to Sargent, in honour of his
outstanding business and philanthropic leadership, by the national office products industry on 8 September 2006, at the Chicago Hilton.
Over 900 members of the OP industry are expected to attend the event, with proceeds going towards the 2006 Spirit of Life campaign "Give.Hope.", helping fund the City of Hope’s centre for biomedicine and genetics.
