2 October 2006 — Chicago (CH): Last week’s City of Hope gala dinner in Chicago was the culmination of a year-long Spirit of Life campaign which raised a whopping $6.2 million.
Over 900 members of the US OP industry attended a sparkling event which this year honoured Staples CEO Ron Sargent, and included a moving and fitting tribute to former National Office Products Council President,
Bob Parker, who lost his brave fight against cancer in the summer.
Next year’s honouree is the hugely popular Avery Dennison veteran Jess Beim. Dates for the dinner have not yet been announced but it will likely be held late September or early October, again in Chicago.
