OPI has now started its annual fundraising for the 2017 Climb of Life (COL) charity event in aid of the Institute of Cancer Research (ICR).

On 3 November, over 100 members of the UK OP industry will gather in the Lake District to battle the Great British weather and tackle some of the toughest mountains in England in atrocious conditions.

Now in its 30th year, the theme this time round is ‘30 YEARS, 30 MOUNTAINS 4 ICR’.

COL creator and organiser Graeme Chapman MBE said: “I had no idea back in 1987 that this event would become so big and so popular. It has evolved beyond my wildest expectations and raising money now for the ICR and its excellent work has been a real privilege.”

Last year’s challenge raised a record £102,000 ($128,000) in sponsorship to help fund the fight against cancer.

The OPI team hopes to beat its own record sum raised of £25,000.
