12 June 2007 — Vancouver (CAN): Cascades Resources has changed its name to Gould Paper (Canada).
Jim Dunn, president of Gould Canada, said: "We have been with the Gould family of companies for seven months. We now feel that with the transition issues behind us, it is time to clearly identify our position in the marketplace; thus the name change. The association with Gould has been outstanding and has permitted us to improve the level of customer service through enhanced systems and to significantly enhance our product offering through improved mill relationships."
Harry Gould, chairman and president of Gould Paper Corporation, said: "We are pleased with the performance of Gould Canada and have found the personnel to be dedicated and highly focussed on the vibrant Western Canada market. The name change is one of many changes that have been made, or will be made in the near future, as evidenced by our recent expansion at Winnipeg."
