Canon wins LexisNexis deal

8 February 2007 — Reigate (UK): Canon UK has replaced The LexisNexis Group’s printer fleet, following a successful tender bid.

The installation of Canon iR3170C, iR5870C, iR6570 and CLC4040 devices, gives LexisNexis the duplex (double-siding) option as standard, which means that it can reduce paper consumption by up to 40 percent, resulting in cost and energy savings.

James Gunning, IS support manager at LexisNexis, said: "The Canon solution gives us total control of our printer fleet. We know exactly what each device is doing, can see trends and usage patterns emerge, which ensures that each device is working as productively as possible while uptime is optimised."

Tracey Fielden, head of office marketing at Canon UK, said: "The solutions that Canon has provided ensure that documents can be filed or shared within the entire organisation quickly and efficiently. Additionally, each member of staff can print their required documents, from any printer, anywhere in the building through secure release of print jobs."
