Camlin loss

23 September 2005 – Mumbai (IND): Camlin has revealed a financial loss for its Q1, following the imposing of VAT on the business.

The company reported a net profit loss of Rs 1.20 crore ($273,342), down 29.6 per cent on the same period the previous year. Sales dropped 6.4 per cent year-on-year for the same period.

 

The firm also said that cheap imports from China and Korea were compounding the company’s woes.
